ATTENTION TREASURE HUNTERS: A grand prize of $300 awaits the lucky person who deciphers the 2013 Riverfest clues. In addition, there will be four daily “Riverfest Wooden Nickels” hidden the first four days of the hunt. Each of these wooden nickels will be worth $50. The treasure and wooden nickels are all on property accessible to the public, and digging or destruction of property is prohibited.
The person who finds the grand prize treasure or daily wooden nickels should present it to the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce office at 1110 Port Neches Avenue, or a Port Neches Chamber of Commerce official at the festival for verification. For more information, call the chamber office at 722-9154. This year’s hunt is sponsored by BBVA Compass Bank. Clues will be posted at 12:01am on the Port Neches Riverfest Facebook page. Furthermore, the clues will be published daily in the Port Arthur News. A final Saturday 12pm clue will be published on the Port Neches Riverfest Facebook page if needed.
